Martin and the Dolomitenlauf

Tour de Rosvall is off to a great start this winter, with a sixth place finish in the 42k classic Dolomitenlauf last weekend, about six minutes behind winner Rezac Stanislav, from Team XTra Personal.  Yay, Martin!

This is what it looked like in Austria last weekend:

And here is Martin's race report:

We arrived Friday night and I raced Saturday morning with little time to acclimatize to the altitude and to test skis. In the first 15K, it felt as if that really mattered. I lost the first group and felt really slow. But then I somehow woke up and the last 25K were really good. I managed to pass a few tired guys and the final result was good.
However, the classic race is not the main event; it is the skate race that is a FIS Marathon race. Since Ski Classics is taking over more and more, fewer nordic skiers are coming here and therefore I decided to do the classic race to prepare for Marcialonga.

And this is what he and Marie did the day after, for recovery.  Now his back is sore.  A coincidence?  I think not!

Next up for him: Marcialonga 70k classic this weekend.  Race fast, Martin!
